A Walk in the Woods

Yes, I finally got out for my little commune with nature!  Yeah!!  Now, my walk in the woods wasn't as extensive as Bill Bryson's, though, it was just as enjoyable!  I wasn't able to go to my little secret, out of the way spot; someone was already there.  :(   So I found another spot that I like to go to.  I went to the North Pond of Nolde Environmental Education Center.  We locals just call it Nolde Forest, in fact, I grew up on the other side of the next mountain over.  Anyway, I was a bit disappointed....usually when I go to the North Pond, there is usually a water snake sunning itself nearby, but not today.  Instead, I got pretty excited about finding a wildflower I've never seen!  From what I found in my field guide, it is a trout lily, very beautiful!  It's the yellow one in the collage.  There was also a field of skunk cabbage about as far as the eye could see!  I was hoping to catch them in flower, however, as I expected, it was too late.

Starting from top left and working my way around:  One of the trails near the North Pond, marsh blue violet, lichen and moss, my pretty trout lily?, and overturned tree, and a turtle (probably a snapper) sunning himself.

Oh, and yes, I did take off my Birkies, and felt the warm energy from the Earth!  I feel like a new woman!

I wish you a day full of peace, and love!

Ahhhh, Spring!

Thank goodness Spring has finally arrived!  Along with this spring, we've got a lot of wind, really a lot of wind, and rain.  I try to get out for a little stroll while the weather is nice.  I found these on the first day of Spring.

Aren't these snowdrops just gorgeous?!
There still isn't much green here in Eastern PA...as evidenced by my after Easter dinner walk with my nephew...

These treasures were found around my parents' property...a single clump of daffodils, johnny jump ups, and lots of deer tracks!  I love strolling around their property at the edge of the woods various times of the year, just to see what's sprouting!

What's up for today?  Since we are probably looking at rain for the next 3 days, I thought I would take a little walk at my local State Park,  see if there is access to my favorite little corner!  When I get back, I need to work on some new Treasures for some upcoming craft shows!  Two shows in 2 weeks!  I'm gonna be busy, so I'd better do my communing with nature while I can!  I'm hoping to be able to take my Birkies off and absorb some of Earth's energy!

Wishing you a day filled with peace and love!

Petite Wire Wrapped Stud Earrings

Some days I feel as though I just can't seem to get ahead... This seems to be the case with my little "dainties"  as they've been called...My little wire wrapped stud earrings.
Over the past week, I've been gathering all my earrings in preparation of show season, and found some little studs I forgot I had!  I've listed them in my Etsy shop, and will be adding more.
These earrings are perfect for those that love handmade, but don't wear dangle earrings, or just like to change it up now and then!
Here are a few of my favorites!  If there is a stone or crystal you would like but don't see in my shop, I'm just convo away!  You can contact me via my Etsy Shop, Pixe's Treasure Chest.
